Leads the structuring, capitalization, and execution of El Castillo Del Mar — advancing the project as a phased, institutional-scale destination platform and guiding delivery from concept through completion.
Shawn Virag
Managing Director — Development & Construction
Leads development execution and construction delivery across all phases, bringing direct oversight of more than $1B+ in active construction development to the project. Directly responsible for the delivery and execution of Phase One — establishing the initial operating platform and physical foundation of El Castillo Del Mar from construction through completion.
Angela Zanon
Chief Creative & Experience Officer
Leads the design and delivery of the guest experience across El Castillo Del Mar — including street atmosphere, live performance, and show programming throughout the district. Responsible for shaping how the destination feels in motion — from arrival at the Castillo through daily activation, Junkanoo processions, and evening theatre experiences. Her role ensures that live performance, cultural integration, and environmental design operate together as a continuous, immersive system.
Barry Jacobson
Managing Director — Experiential Destination Development
Leads the execution of live experience and operational performance systems — ensuring that programming, guest engagement, and service delivery operate consistently at scale. His role translates creative vision into structured, repeatable operations, aligning performance standards, activation, and guest flow across every environment in the district.
Malachi Tangard
Managing Director — Reef Systems & Design
Leads the design and integration of the reef basin and marine systems, while overseeing the structural and spatial interface between the Castillo, the reef environment, and the Kraken's Key water district. Responsible for shaping how the fortress, reef, and underwater experiences connect — including the transition from the Castillo into the basin and the layout integration of Kraken's Key.
Joel Meyer
Managing Director of Operations
Leads operational structure and execution across El Castillo Del Mar — overseeing workforce systems, staffing, and day-to-day performance across all environments. Responsible for ensuring that service delivery, guest flow, and operational consistency perform reliably at scale from opening through long-term operations.
John Dinkjian
Managing Director — Financial Systems & Innovation
Leads financial systems, performance tracking, and operational scalability across the development platform. Responsible for aligning financial structure with operational execution — ensuring visibility, control, and long-term performance across all phases of the project.
